Welbedacht – pronounced Well-be-duct means well thought in High Dutch and was demarcated in 1830 from the farm Driefontein – meaning three fountains – in the Wellington district, which was granted by the Dutch Governor, Simon van der Stel, of the Cape Province, the most southern province in South Africa in the early 1700’s.
The Burger family acquired Welbedacht in 1997 after also buying the neighboring farm and the two farms form the Welbedacht Wine Estate, which means all the wine must be grown, made and bottled on the Estate.
On the 2nd of July 2022 we will host our 6th event on the Run The Vines calendar for the 2022 season.

3km Oasis Paarl Junior Challenge -- Free - Start 8:50
Adult accompanying a child on 3km - R70
5km Run The Vines - R120 - Start: 8:45
10km Run The Vines - R140 - Start: 8:30
17km Run The Vines - R170 - Start: 8:00
R30 Late entry fee.
All unpaid entries will be removed after 3 days.
Waterpoints will be available. It is however always advised to be self sufficient when it comes to hydration when you run.
Free massages after your run by Brad Williams Sports Science.
Your entry fee includes the R10 timing fee. Timing is done on Webscorer.
Free Oasis Paarl water at the finish line.
Medals for all.
All Covid regulations are in place as per the regulations at Mellasat.
