Onsite Events

Mental health is the starting point of all health, and with all the stressors on our psyches, locally and globally, everyone’s mental health is at risk. Mental illnesses, such as depression, are not about “feeling down” and will not disappear by “just pulling yourself together”. Depression and illnesses like anxiety are biological illnesses and require treatment. YOU can make a difference to help break the silence and the stigma around mental illnesses by joining us in person OR with your very own virtual Hope Hike on Sunday, 27 October. Funds raised go towards the Ithemba Foundation (ithemba means hope) to support research into mental health. The in-person Hope Hike is on the beautiful Delvera wine estate on the R44 just outside Stellenbosch. Entries are open until Friday, 25 October for both the in-person and virtual hikes. Post your selfies onto Ithemba’s Facebook (IthembaFoundation1) or Instagram (@ithembafoundation) pages until that day.

So, let’s all talk the talk and walk the walk to help normalise and humanise mental health! And stand a chance to win fantastic prizes at both the in-person and the virtual event.
