RUN THE VINES 2026 SERIES PRESENTED BY FIRST ASCENT
Join us on the 10th of August 2026 at Fairview for the 8th event of the Run The Vines 2026 Series presented by First Ascent to celebrate National Womens Day.
We are incredibly excited to return to Fairview. Our last Run The Vines event at Fairview was hosted in 2018.

We’ve been caring custodians of our land since 1693, and invite you to come and visit us and see for yourself how our farm operates, supports the environment and contributes to a more holistic lifestyle. Everything we do is driven by our philosophy of being honest, honouring our heritage and ensuring that ingenuity perpetually flows from our soils and cellars and straight into the heart of your relationship with us. 3km Manzi Water Paarl Junior Challenge for kids under 8 years of age -- Free - Start 8:35
This distance can change depending on the farm. All kids under 12 must be accompanied by a parent. The aim of the 3km is to introduce kids to trail running and a healthy lifestyle, while spending great time with family and friends. This distance is for parents with small kids and not for individual adults. Adults must do the 5km.

5km Run The Vines - R180 - Start: 8:30 (Includes timing tag. No need to rent. Excluding compulsory R50 Paarl Trails Trail Fee.)
10km Run The Vines - R200 - Start: 8:15 (Includes timing tag. No need to rent. Excluding compulsory R50 Paarl Trails Trail Fee.)
17km Run The Vines - R230 - Start: 7:45 (Includes timing tag. No need to rent. Excluding compulsory R50 Paarl Trails Trail Fee.)

Paarl Trails is a premier outdoor destination nestled in the scenic Cape Winelands, offering an extensive network of trails for mountain biking, hiking, and running. With a variety of routes designed to cater to all skill levels, from beginners to advanced adventurers, the trails provide breathtaking views of the Paarl valley and surrounding vineyards.

Because we are running on working farms the promoted distances might not be exact. It might be a little longer or shorter. I will do my best to have it as close to the promoted distance as possible.
Route profiles will be posted closer to the event as all the runs are on working farms and things can change quickly. Join our Facebook Group at www.facebook.com/groups/1532193470394888 for updated info.
Timing is done by BoutTime. You must collect your timing tag at registration. Registration is always open one-hour before the start of the 17km distance. You can buy a permanent tag for R100 that can be used at all events timed with BoutTime. Live results and sms with your results and time included.
R50 Late entry fee.
All unpaid entries will be removed after 3 days.
Waterpoints will be available. It is however always advised to be self-sufficient when it comes to hydration when you run.
Hydration will be available at the waterpoints. Sorry. No food or sweeties. We want you to support the farm and vendors after your run.
Medals for all finishers.
Please do not leave any valuables in your car. You can leave it at registration.
