We are proud to introduce the very first Run The Wines experience, hosted at the beautiful Ayama Wines.

This is not your typical trail run. Run The Wines is a unique 5km journey designed to combine the enjoyment of running with the rich character of exceptional wines. Set against the scenic vineyards of Ayama, this event offers a relaxed, social experience where every kilometer tells a different story.

• Distance: 5km
• Entry Fee: R300
• Date: 13 June 2025
• Medals for all finishers.

The Experience:
Runners will move through the vineyards, stopping at each kilometer to enjoy a curated wine tasting, matched to the specific cultivar grown in that section of the estate:

• 1km: Shiraz
• 2km: Chenin Blanc
• 3km: Vermentino
• 4km: Cabernet Sauvignon
• Finish line: Glass of Grenache Noir Rose
• Medals for all finishers
• Only 300 spots available

Each tasting takes place within the vineyards where the grapes are grown, offering a truly immersive “vine-to-glass” experience.

Unlike traditional Run The Vines events, Run The Wines is designed to be more interactive and indulgent, encouraging participants to slow down, take in the surroundings, and enjoy the journey as much as the finish.
